Java Projects
CT Scan Results (September 2019)
- Developed and implemented two classes called “Hounsfield Value Finder” and “Windowing of Hounsfield value” which were then used to visualize CT scan results for medical purposes.
Domino Game (September 2019)
- Designed a class that represents domino tiles and implemented the class in such a way that each domino tile has two integer values that range from minimum value of the Domino to maximum value of the Domino.
- Wrote a sorting algorithm to sort the dominos from smallest to largest moving left to right and top to bottom. The zero-zero domino is the smallest tile and the six-six domino is the largest tile.
Complex Number Calculator (October 2019)
- Developed a calculator capable of reading complex numbers
- Wrote multiple logics such as returning real and imaginary parts of the complex number.
Lempel-Ziv-Welch Compressor & Dictionary (October 2019)
- Developed a class for LZW which performs compression(encoding) and decompression(decoding) of a given input string.
Recursion Methods (November 2019)
- Solved problem recursively without the use of loops.
- Recursively sorted through an array of elements.
- Merged two arrays in to one array, then sorted through the merged array recursively.
Android App Design (November 2019)
- Created a dog store which sold dogs. There were multiple breeds of dogs which belonged to a Superclass of Dog. This was done using inheritance. Every breed of dog had their own colour, sound of bark, and their unique set
of characteristics.
- An app was created using Android Studio which compiled 10 most popular breed of dog with their picture and sound of bark. The app functions fully without any error.
Dictionary (December 2019)
- Created a dictionary using one array to store all dictionary entries, where each entry consists of a word and its associated definition.
- Created a dictionary using two arrays where one array stores the word and the other array stores the meaning of the word.
*Both the dictionaries were created without the help of Java library or any import statements.
Android App Projects
BMI App (January 2019)
- Built an Android app that computes BMI (Body Mass Index) given the weight and height of a person.
- The architecture of the app is adhered to the Model-View-Controller design pattern.
Mortgage App (February 2019)
- Created an app to help users determine their ability to afford buying a house.
- The app takes the price of the house, interest rate and amortization period to calculate the mortgage.
- Designed the app display a floating message (a toast) if any of the input is invalid.
- The Text-To-Speech function of the app synthesizes voice from any string in many languages.
- This app is designed to monitor the device’s acceleration. When the device is shaken, all the fields are cleared.
KryptoNote App (March 2019)
- This app allows the user to create encrypted notes and save them on the device.
- The share button of the app is used to share the encrypted notes as text messages of emails.
Capital City App (March 2019)
- This app asks the user questions about countries. The capital city is asked if the country is given or vice versa.
- Every right answer is awarded one point, with a high score of 195 points.
